Welcome to the First Lutheran Church website. We hope this site will help you learn more about us and our witness for Christ. We strive to recognize and nurture the Christ in ourselves and each person that we encounter along the way. Our church is a thriving community of believers, and lovers of the word of God. First Lutheran has a long tradition of outreach and service to its members and the community. We hope you will join us for service on Sunday to experience for yourself the fellowship of Christ. 


Worship Workshop

First Lutheran Church will serve as the host for a Worship Workshop sponsored by the Northwestern Pennsylvania Synod’s Worship Committee on Sunday, August 24 from 2:30pm – 5:00pm. Registration and refreshments will begin at 2:00pm. The workshop will be featuring Mr. Jared Jacobson, Coordinator of Worship and Sacred Music for the Chautauqua Institute and Director of Music at First Lutheran Church of San Diego, CA.

The workshop will include a hymn sing, breakout sessions on “Planning Worship with Limited Resources,” “Let’s be Musical – Tips for Cantors and Singing the Psalms 101,” and “Leading the Congregation in Song.” A light supper will follow. The cost of the event is $5.00. All persons are invited to attend. Reservations are requested. Sign up in the narthex or contact the church office by August 17. Rally Day Sunday and Chicken Barbeque

Rally Day is Sunday, September 7.  Calling all all youth and adults - join us for the first day of Sunday School at 9:30am.  Classes are available for children (pre-K) through Adult.  Don't forget First Lutheran's Sunday worship times return to the normal schedule of 8:00am & 11:00am.  Following the 11:00am service will be our delicious Chicken Barbeque Dinner roasted to perfection by Chef John Beard.  Please bring your own table settings and a dish to pass.  Don't miss the fun and games!  Please make sure to sign up dinner in the narthex. 


2008 tap funTAP is coming!  TAP is coming!  Get ready!  TAP is an acronym for "The Alleluia Program" and an after school program held on Wednesdays at First Lutheran.  Children in second through twelfth grades are encouraged to attend.  During their time at the church, kids have games, crafts, a Bible lesson and dinner.  Cost is $1.00 per youth.  Advanced registration for the 2014-2015 TAP season is encouraged.  Parents can register their child(ren) at the church office.  The first day of TAP is Wednesday, September 10.  See you there!  For more information contact Pastor Jeff Ewing at or 723-6450.
