Welcome to the First Lutheran Church website. We hope this site will help you learn more about us and our witness for Christ. We strive to recognize and nurture the Christ in ourselves and each person that we encounter along the way. Our church is a thriving community of believers, and lovers of the word of God. First Lutheran has a long tradition of outreach and service to its members and the community. We hope you will join us for service on Sunday to experience for yourself the fellowship of Christ. 


Worship Workshop

First Lutheran Church will serve as the host for a Worship Workshop sponsored by the Northwestern Pennsylvania Synod’s Worship Committee on Sunday, August 24 from 2:30pm – 5:00pm. Registration and refreshments will begin at 2:00pm. The workshop will be featuring Mr. Jared Jacobson, Coordinator of Worship and Sacred Music for the Chautauqua Institute and Director of Music at First Lutheran Church of San Diego, CA. The workshop will include a hymn sing, breakout sessions on “Planning Worship with Limited Resources,” “Let’s be Musical – Tips for Cantors and Singing the Psalms 101,” and “Leading the Congregation in Song.” A light supper will follow. The cost of the event is $5.00. All persons are invited to attend. Reservations are requested. Sign up in the narthex or contact the church office by August 17.
